Design your project

Three easy steps: tell us what you're building, add a wall for every run in the room — L-shapes, islands, and peninsulas included — then swap and resize pieces until it's yours. Pieces take real heights and depths (42″ uppers, deep fridge cabs, combined carcasses), and the price follows every change across the whole project. Finish in step 4 with genuine Rev-A-Shelf pull-outs — pick a size and the exact model number rides along with your quote request.

Step 1 · What are you building?

Step 2 · Your walls & measurements

Priced from the same installed per-linear-foot ranges as the guide below. Upper cabinets figure at 70% of the per-foot rate, tall units at 130% — uppers carry less material, talls carry more. Multi-wall projects total every wall and every side (front and back) together. Countertops, appliances, and plumbing/electrical changes are separate. Planning number, not a bid.

Step 4 · Pull-out accessories

Rev-A-Shelf pull-outs & organizers

Every pull-out we offer is a genuine Rev-A-Shelf product — this is their full pull-out lineup, and each product name links to its page on rev-a-shelf.com. Pick a size and the exact model number shows up right on the card, then travels with your quote request so the right part gets ordered the first time.

Model numbers badged “Rev-A-Shelf catalog” come straight from Rev-A-Shelf's own catalog and spec sheets. A few were only listed by retailers — those are flagged “confirm before ordering,” and we verify them with Rev-A-Shelf (800-626-1126) before anything is ordered. Prices shown are Rev-A-Shelf's starting prices, checked October 22, 2026; accessories aren't in the design estimate above — your written quote confirms the final accessory price. Measure your actual cabinet opening before ordering: Rev-A-Shelf's own sheets vary by about ½″ on a few series.

Quick estimate

Just need a rough number?

If you'd rather skip the designer, this is the original by-the-foot estimator: enter the linear feet of cabinets and a tier for a fast installed range.

1 · Kitchen size — linear feet of cabinets
linear ft

Not sure of your number?

Measure along the wall where the cabinets sit, in feet. Add up each run of base cabinets — a standard L-shaped kitchen with a 12-ft run and an 8-ft return is 20 linear feet. Most Odessa–Midland kitchens land between 15 and 30 linear feet. Islands count too: add the island's length if it's getting cabinets.
2 · Cabinet tier

All tiers are priced installed — cabinets plus professional installation. Countertops, appliances, and plumbing/electrical changes are separate.

Your estimate · Semi-custom · 20 linear ft
$3,000 – $14,000

Typical midpoint: $8,500 — most straightforward jobs land near the middle of the range.

$50–$150 / ft, straight swap

Planning number, not a bid. Final quotes move with door style, box construction, demo and disposal, and whether the layout changes. A layout change — moving plumbing, walls, or the footprint — pushes labor well above the straight-swap range.

Pricing guide

What each tier buys you

Same project, three very different budgets. These are 2026 installed ranges for the Odessa–Midland market — cabinets and installation together, priced per linear foot. The same ranges drive the designer above, whether you're building a kitchen, a vanity, a closet, or built-ins.

Stock

$100–$400 / linear ft installed
  • Standard 3-inch size increments, limited finishes
  • Fastest timeline — often in stock locally
  • Filler strips make up the gaps in your layout
  • Particleboard or basic plywood boxes are common

Best for: rentals, flips, tight budgets, and straightforward swaps in Odessa & Midland tract homes.

Semi-custom

$150–$700 / linear ft installed
  • Built to order — far more sizes, colors, and door styles
  • Options like soft-close, pull-outs, and 42-inch uppers
  • Plywood boxes widely available
  • Typical lead time of a few weeks

Best for: most homeowner remodels — the sweet spot of price, fit, and finish in the Permian Basin.

Custom

$500–$1,200 / linear ft installed
  • Built to the exact inch for your space — no fillers
  • Any wood species, stain, or paint finish
  • Furniture-grade construction and hardware
  • Longest lead time — plan the schedule around it

Best for: forever homes, unusual layouts, and Midland & Odessa builds where the kitchen is the centerpiece.

Local benchmarks

What Odessa–Midland jobs actually run

Real all-in ranges for the Permian Basin market — cabinets plus installation, across tiers. Most typical kitchens fall between these two bookends.

Small kitchen · 10 linear ft
$2,300 – $5,100

A galley or small L-shaped kitchen — common in older Odessa and Midland homes. At this size, stock and lower-end semi-custom do most of the work.

Large kitchen · 60 linear ft
$13,900 – $30,500

A big open kitchen with long runs and an island — the kind of build going up in new Permian Basin subdivisions. More footage, more boxes, more labor.

Odessa–Midland runs cheaper than Dallas / Houston

The Permian Basin is one market — Midland pricing is effectively the same as Odessa, and the ranges on this page apply to both cities. Compared with Dallas and Houston, local labor rates run lower, which pulls the installed total down. The cabinets themselves cost the same wherever you buy them — it's the labor side where Odessa–Midland saves you money.

Installation labor alone for a straightforward swap — new cabinets going where the old ones came out, no layout change — runs $50–$150 per linear foot locally. Move plumbing, walls, or the footprint and labor climbs from there.

How it works

From your measurements to a real quote

01

Give us your walls

Pick what you're building — kitchen, vanity, closet, built-ins — and enter each wall's length in feet and inches. Add a wall for every run, and a back side for an island or peninsula. Those are the only measurements you need to start.

02

Start from a ready layout

We drop in a sensible basic design in standard sizes that fits your wall — sink base, drawers, uppers and all. You're never staring at a blank canvas.

03

Swap, resize, send it

Exchange any piece for another, type in any custom width — everything is built to the inch — and watch the price update. When it looks right, send the design for a real quote.

For the trade

Using this with clients

Contractors and cabinet shops across the Permian Basin: have the homeowner build their design here before the first site visit so the size and tier conversation happens early. When you write the real quote, break out these line items separately:

  • Cabinet boxes, doors, and hardware — by tier
  • Installation labor, per linear foot
  • Demo and disposal of the old kitchen
  • Layout changes: plumbing, electrical, framing
  • Countertops — almost never in the cabinet number
Cost drivers

What pushes a quote up

  • Layout changes — moving the sink, range, or walls
  • Box construction — all-plywood over particleboard
  • Door style & finish — inset doors, custom paint, glazing
  • Storage options — pull-outs, tray dividers, soft-close throughout
  • Tall & specialty cabinets — pantries, appliance garages, hutches
  • Site conditions — out-of-level floors and walls in older homes
Common questions

Quick answers

Can I really get a size that isn't standard?

Yes. Everything is built custom in the shop, so standard sizes (12, 18, 24, 30, 36 inches…) are just the common starting points. Type any width into the designer — 23 1/2 inches, 41 3/4 inches, whatever your wall needs — and the price adjusts to the actual size.

Does the estimate include countertops?

No. The ranges here cover cabinets and their installation only. Countertops — laminate, quartz, granite, or butcher block — are quoted separately and vary widely by material.

Is Midland really the same price as Odessa?

Effectively, yes. Odessa and Midland are one labor market — crews work both cities daily, and suppliers serve the whole Permian Basin. Use the same ranges for either city.

What counts as a “straightforward swap” for labor?

New cabinets installed in the same footprint as the old cabinets, with the sink and appliances staying put. That's the $50–$150 per linear foot labor range. Moving plumbing, electrical, or walls adds labor on top.

Can I add pull-outs and organizers?

Yes — step 4 of the designer carries the full Rev-A-Shelf pull-out lineup: base organizers, spice fillers, trash pull-outs, blind-corner and lazy-susan systems, mixer lifts, under-sink organizers, vanity and closet pull-outs, and more. Pick a size and the exact Rev-A-Shelf model number shows on the card and goes out with your quote request, so the right part is ordered for your cabinet size.

How accurate is this designer?

It gives you a realistic 2026 planning range for the Odessa–Midland market, not a bid. Two projects with identical footage can land far apart inside the range depending on tier options and site conditions — get an in-person measurement and a written quote before signing anything.
